Crash in Salado kills 1, injures 7
A two-vehicle collision in Salado has left one person dead and seven others injured.
According the officials, a Nissan Pathfinder was traveling west on FM 2843 on the wrong side of the road disregarding a no-pass zone. A Ford Expedition with eight passengers attempted to avoid the Pathfinder, but was unable to do so. The two vehicles collided, causing the Expedition to rollover, killing 1 of its passengers instantly.
Two other passengers were airlifted to Scott and White Hospital, and five more were taken via ambulance, records show.
The driver of the Pathfinder was not injured.
The crash occurred around 6:40 a.m., police say.
