Knippa ISD Principal Killed in Wrong-Way Car Accident
A wrong way accident outside San Antonio claimed the life of a Knippa ISD principal, early Sunday morning on Hwy 90 near Loop 1604, officials reported.
Authorities identified the victim as 53-year-old Merlyn Schneider
The accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. when a vehicle, headed in the wrong direction, slammed into the Schneider’s car.
Police believe the driver of the truck that struck Schneider’s vehicle in the San Antonio wrong-way accident, may have been drinking. That driver was transported to the hospital for the treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash. That driver is expected to recover and his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, officials noted.
