Laredo United South Football Player Killed in Crash

A rollover accident, involving one vehicle, in Laredo, Texas took the life of a Laredo United South football player. Eight other occupants within the vehicle were injured in the rollover crash, authorities said.

According to officials, the student died at Laredo hospital from injuries resulting from the Laredo accident, which occurred Sunday evening.

A 22-year-old female was driving, the Landrover carrying the carload of people, when she lost control of the vehicle, sending it airborne. The SUV landed in a ditch after rolling several times.

Seven of the passengers were members of the same football team, Laredo police said.
