Pedestrian Accident in Belton Kills Temple Man

A Belton pedestrian accident that occurred on the evening of November 4, 2012, claimed the life of a Temple man, officials reported.
The man, who was killed in the traffic accident in Belton, was identified as 55-year-old Felix Martinez, a resident of Temple.
Police said that Martinez was walking in the southbound lane of North Main Street when he was struck by a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck has not been identified and police are still investigating the Belton accident. Authorities said no charges have been filed.
Pedestrian accidents have been plaguing Central Texas, especially Austin, which has endured more than 24 pedestrian related fatalities so far in 2012.
