Bus accident, like some commercial cvehicle accidents, can be triggered by a variety of reasons, including driver inexperience, lacking training, driver error or even poor bus maintenance. With decreasing school funding, some buses have had to forgo the new technologies available to those types of vehicles. Although seatbelts in buses may have been shown to be an effective way of protecting students, some school budgets do not allow for such upgrades. In some situations, maintenance may also take a back seat.
