Seguin Dump Truck Involved in Hit and Run Accident, One Killed, Three Injured

A hit and run accident in Seguin involving a dump truck left one person dead and three other injured on Thursday, police said.

Officials identified the driver of a Chevrolet truck struck by the dump truck as Roman Esparza, 20. A Dodge, driven by Patricia Rivera, 46, was also involved in the Seguin collision.

According to a report published by Seguin Today, the dump truck failed to yield the right of way, causing the driver of the pickup to swerve to avoid a collision. The driver of the pickup truck then lost control of his vehicle and smashed in the Dodge truck in the opposite lane of traffic.

A 79-year-old passenger in one of the vehicles was killed in the collision. Her name has not yet been released, police said.

When emergency crews and Department of Public Safety officials arrived on the scene of the car accident in Seguin, the dump truck was no-where to be found.
