Nicholas Homan is an injury lawyer in Baytown, Texas dedicated to ensuring his clients see accountability when their lives have been turned upside down by careless behavior. His practice focuses on clients injured through automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents; premises liability; products liability; hunting accidents and maritime injuries.
Through his practice, he builds a close relationship with his clients. He knows that sometimes clients need their voices heard even if it’s just talking to him about their frustrations.
Experience on your side
In his first year as an attorney, it was clear that Nicholas was going to be a force in the legal field. He handled a case for an elderly man who tripped and fell on a defective sidewalk outside of a restaurant. The insurance company and their defense lawyers said the claim was frivolous and blamed it all on Nicholas’ elderly client. Nicholas and his team litigated the case with fury and made clear that we were prepared to go all the way to trial if necessary. Shortly before trial, he and his client spent all day at mediation rejecting low offers and listening to the defendant insult the case. However, after standing firm in their case, their patience paid off. The defendant agreed to pay four times his client’s medical bills as they walked out of the mediator’s office.
In September of 2018, Nicholas served as the lead trial attorney and won a $1.2M jury verdict on behalf of his client who was badly injured on a cruise ship.
He has extensive experience litigating complex civil cases throughout the U.S., including automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents; premises liability; products liability; hunting accidents; maritime injuries; toxic tort; oil & gas; contract disputes; civil rights violations; and others. Nicholas is licensed to practice law in Texas, California, and several other federal district courts and appellate courts.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in 2012 where he was a member of the South Texas Law Review and Dean’s List. He is licensed to practice in Texas and California.
In law school, Nicholas competed in 10 national Appellate Advocacy and Mock Trial competitions and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Since the day he graduated from law school, Nicholas has been fighting for the injured and disadvantaged.
Since graduating from law school, Nicholas has helped judge and coach several moot court and mock trial teams.
Nicholas was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a lifelong Houston-area resident, Nicholas enjoys the diversity and vibrance of Houston:
“Houston is a city where different people and cultures mix into something that is truly unique. Houston has all of the weirdness of Austin, all the sophistication of Dallas, all the history of San Antonio, plus its own unique and gritty working-class spirit.”
Outside of the office, Nicholas and his family are members at Second Baytown Church where he enjoys serving his family and community.
